Publicist to handle Pop Culture Digital Content Creators

ABOUT THE ROLE

Shore Fire Media is looking for a sharp and ambitious publicist to join our team. The position is to work with a Director of Publicity and has a primary focus on representing digital talent: pop culture digital personalities, social media personalities, and content creators. Candidates must have at least two years experience and a demonstrated successful track record of representing pop culture digital content curators. (*please note that we are not currently looking for professionals with music pr experience for this position)

We’re looking for someone with an in-depth knowledge of pop culture, YouTube, TikTok, Triller, the music industry, and media worlds. We are seeking someone with the ability to handle a multi-faceted client roster that will primarily focus on: content curators and digital stars, but may also include corporate business and technology accounts, pop culture figures, authors, podcasts, comedians, non-profits, and musicians.

WHAT YOU HAVE
•minimum two years of previous full-time PR experience
•Bachelor’s degree
•Positive, can-do attitude
•Strong time management skills
•Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to coordinate multiple work streams under tight-deadline pressure (attention to detail is crucial, even for mundane tasks)
•Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting
•Strong writing and communication skills
•Strong passion for social media and the culture on online platforms
•Strong relationships in the digital / creator communities
•Ability to understand and anticipate industry trends that will inform day-to-day functions
•Ability to take initiative and problem solve
•Tenacity and love a good challenge
•Working knowledge of theatre, comedy, sports, technology, and business is a plus
•Prior knowledge of how the print, television, and online news media work and how to generate press
•Candidate will ultimately be based in LA, NYC, or Nashville

WHAT YOU’LL DO
•Lead or help lead campaign.
•Pitch interviews and stories for clients.
•Work closely with our publicity teams to help us shape and build out engaging angles, narratives, and opportunities around our clients. Note: the majority of your roster will be non-music clients.
•Participate in campaign brainstorms and strategy sessions.
•Draft press notes, press releases, pitch letters, media alerts, talking points, boilerplates, etc.
•Various administrative tasks for your accounts
