Tom Parker Announces Charity Concert At Royal Albert Hall'Inside My Head - The Concert’ In Aid Of Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain AppealOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Simon Jones PR The Wanted superstar Tom Parker today announces a special charity concert ‘Inside My Head' at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday September 20th. The show, hosted by Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay, will feature a stellar line up of performances from UK talent, with top artists to be announced over the coming weeks. Despite not knowing how his health would hold up over the coming months, Tom has been determined to make the concert happen and has called on his famous friends to help pull together a show stopping event. Tom wants the concert to be full of hope and joy, with all proceeds going to Stand Up 2 Cancer and The National Brain Appeal. Highlights from the show will also be broadcast as part of Tom’s Channel 4 documentary with an extended concert highlights show to follow. Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10am, priced from £45 plus booking fee. Go to www.Royalalberthall.com/tickets Tom says: "Almost a year ago, my world was turned upside down by my diagnosis. I was absolutely shocked to discover how low the percentage of the annual research budget for cancer that is devoted to brain tumour research. I want to use my voice and platform to do something about it and help in any small way I can. Music is my life so a concert to raise much needed funds seemed like the perfect idea. We have some amazing artists signed up and I’m really excited, it’s gonna be an amazing night." Last October, 32-year-old Tom announced he’d been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. Although doctors have told him that the grade four glioblastoma is ‘the worst case’ scenario, Tom and his wife Kelsey are doing all they can to remain positive and beat back the disease. Tom recently announced a Channel 4 documentary 'Inside My Head'. As part of this year’s Stand Up 2 Cancer, the joint national fundraising campaign from Channel 4 and Cancer Research UK, Tom, Kelsey and their children, two-year-old daughter Aurelia and nine-month-old son Bodhi, have invited the cameras into their lives as they look to make every future moment count. The doc will follow the process of staging the Royal Albert Hall concert with the cameras following Tom and the family as they manage his diagnosis, explore possible treatments, meet with fellow brain cancer patients and pull together this ambitious fundraising concert.
