Sofia Carson co-hosts and performs at today's WE Day UN 2018

Sofia Carson will co-host WE Day UN 2018 today at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, together with Skai Jackson, Angie Martinez and Jenna Ortega.

Carson is also scheduled to perform at today's popular event. Producer and her Rumors collaborator, R3HAB, will also be attending.

Nineteen thousand youngsters are set to unite at New York City's Barclay's Center this morning, with each attendee having earned their place by making a difference to their community or to the world in some way.

The WE Day has been set up by co-founders Craig and Marc Kielburger to empower tomorrow's global game changers, as well as local ones.

HOLA! USA October issue cover star Carson previously spoke about how important the WE Movement is to her, explaining:

"Young people are taking action every day to make the world a more inclusive space. I'm so inspired by the students breaking down barriers in equality and discrimination, this progress benefits all of us.

"The young people at WE Day UN are challenging stereotypes and empowering others to do the same, creating a global movement of equality and inclusivity."

Other key figureheads scheduled to attend include: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Martin Luther King III, Juan Manuel Santos, NAS, Jacob Tremblay, Ebro Darden, Ingrid Nilson, Kendrick Sampson, Princess Beatrice, Esera Tuaolo, John Barnitt, Cameron Kasky, David Robinson, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, Monique Coleman, Celebrity Marauders, Sparsh Shah, The Clovers, Jaylynn Cortez, Hebh Jamal, Clare Morneau, Karina Perez, Haile Thomas and Spencer West

Doors will open at 8am, with the show kicking off at 9.30am and ending at 2.15pm.

WE Day is part of WE, a family of organizations making doing good, doable.

WE Charity empowers change with resources that create sustainable impact, either through domestic programmes like WE Schools, or internationally through WE Villages. The unique partnership with ME to WE ensures that WE Charity achieves a remarkable rate of financial efficiency, with 90 per cent of donations going directly to youth-serving programmes.

ME to WE is a social enterprise that creates socially conscious products and experiences that empower people to do good through their everyday choices. Half of all ME to WE profits are donated to support WE Charity, while the other half is reinvested to grow the mission of the social enterprise.
