DJ duo Grey, consisting of brothers Kyle and Michael Trewartha, have unveiled the new music video for their latest single, 'Grey Area (ft. Sofia Carson)'. The track was released earlier this month on November 8.

Shot with a hazy whitewashed filter, we see two lovers cozying up in the woods during a seemingly romantic getaway at a secluded log cabin, which Carson is shown reflecting upon with angst.

During the first verse, she sings:

"Feels like you're always moving
Feels like I always suck
But you see me as a girlfriend
Just somebody that you're
Messing up, I don't need this
But you've got a golden touch
That's why I'm always coming
Scared that I'll say too much".

Carson took to Twitter to announce its release, saying:

"grey area music video is out now 🦋” {this clip is untouched, unfiltered & raw. like the lyrics of this song. & now it’s yours forever.}”

It's been a hectic week already for the singer-songwriter, actress, activist and host, having also just presented the AMAs Red Carpet Live, a live stream two-hour pre-show for the 2019 American Music Awards, which was held on Sunday (November 24) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Grey Area isn’t the first time that Carson has teamed up with DJs, having previously worked with Alan Walker, R3hab and Galantis. She also featured recently on the Disney Descendants 3 soundtrack.

Musically, the star has released four soundtrack albums, twelve singles (including two singles as a featured artist), four promotional singles and fourteen music videos.

Grey are best known for their 2016 debut single with Hailee Steinfeld, Starving, which was produced by Zedd. They have also collaborated with a host of other big names, including: Ariana Grande, Avril Lavigne, Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan and Mike Posner.
