Dutch Garage/trash/glam band Fake Billy & The False Prophets with new single Celine Dion

Celine Dion is the new single by Fake Billy & The False Prophets. In the late eighties, the father of leadsinger Martijn owned a gay bar in Antwerp "Le Rose Suite". One of the regulars, a drag queen called Frankyboy, had a act in which she sang songs of Celine Dion. As a little boy Martijn saw this act and so Celine Dion got a special place in his life. The single Celine Dion is an ode to her but also an ode to his own childhood.

Fake Billy & The False Prophets: a name that creates as many questions as expectations, and that's exactly the way Fake Billy likes it. Raw energy, strong songs and catchy hooks. Their first performance at 4:30 a.m. at some trash-party ended in blood on the floor beside the toilet and sweat dripping down the walls. Since then cellars, bars and festivals have ensured Fake Billy & The False Prophets developed into a razorsharp band with a tight garage-trash-rock 'n roll sound.

Their 2015 debut album Chickboy was well received by Dutch press. It brought them airplay on Dutch national radio and they toured extensively.

Celine Dion is the first single from their upcoming sophomore album scheduled for later this year. It is released under TCBYML sub-label BERT, dedicated to young musical talent. BERT was launched in 2016 and was created especially for Dutch artists and bands. BERT is exciting, challenging, new, enterprising, a feeling, a friend, full of idealism, adventurous and honest.

Fake Billy & The False Prophets - Celine Dion is released this week and available for purchase/streaming on all known digital platforms.
