After Dutch hardcore punk band Union Morbide released their first demo in 1987, multiple record labels showed interest. This resulted in a meeting with the A&R manager of Warner Music USA. The band decided to stay independent however, and release music on the befriended LMOOR label. Union Morbide was active from 1985 to 1995 and released several LPs, CDs and singles.

The band went into the studio in 1994 to record one song for an international sampler CD that would be released with the very popular American music magazine "No Idea Fanzine". This CD came in a circulation of no less than 10,000 copies and 10.000 more when the first print was sold out. Back then, having no money so making the most of their studio time, the band recorded, produced and mixed 7 tracks in one day. Every song was played live in the studio and recorded in one take: drums, bass, guitar left, guitar right and vocals were played all together. This was just before their last European tour with longtime befriended band Pennywise. Not long after, the band broke up and the recording never saw the light of day.

Being pre-CD car player era, the producer recorded the songs on a chrome cassette so after their time in the studio the band could immediately listen to the songs in their car while driving home. The original multi-track tape got lost, but fortunately one band member saved his cassette. This cassette has now been digitized and mastered.

All seven tracks are now released for the first time, 24 years after its recording date.

Union Morbide played approximately 1000 shows all over Europe with awesome bands like Leatherface, Pennywise, No Use For A Name, Samiam, Bad Religion, Toxic Reasons, Suicidal Tendencies, SNUFF, NRA, Funeral Oration, Seein Red, Bambix, All, HDQ, NOFX, GBH, Verbal Assault, Scraps, Vernon Walters, Jawbox, Broken Toys, Citizen Fish, Millincolin, Heideroosjes, Supersuckers, SNFU.

Eyes Of (EP) is released this week and available on all known streaming- and download platforms.
