Tonight marks the 87th Academy Awards and while the Oscars ceremony is still underway, Canadian indie pop duo Tegan and Sara rocked the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood with a lively rendition of 'Everything Is Awesome', which featured on the soundtrack for 'The Lego Movie'. 

The hitmakers, who were joined by The Lonely Island for the rendition of the track, took to their official Twitter page after the performance and confessed that it was an incredible experience: "Total joy tonight. Thank you x one million to everyone and anyone who helped get us onto that stage."

'Everything Is Awesome' was up for the Best Original Song prize, but lost out Common and John Legend's 'Glory' from the motion picture 'Selma'. Rita Ora took the stage tonight to perform 'Grateful', which is from the movie 'Beyond The Lights', and Maroon 5 performed the song 'Lost Stars' from 'Begin Again'.
