The 1975's Matty Healy: 'We're putting out a new vinyl (sic)'

The 1975's Matty Healy has teased the band may release new music this year.

The 'Love Me' hitmakers only released their second album 'I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It' last year, but it seems they are already working on new material as the band's frontman Matty Healy has said they will be putting out a "new vinyl" this year.

Taking to Twitter yesterday (March 5), Healy said: "We're putting out a new vinyl this year (sic)"

It's not know yet if the vinyl will be brand new music, or if it will take the form of a live album or re-release. The news comes after the 'Chocolate' musician - who is joined in his band by Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald, and George Daniel - took to his social media account earlier this week to say he will "retreat from the world" to work on their third album, which he teased would be called 'Music For Cars'.

He wrote: "I like it when you sleep is coming to an end" Music For Cars "NOW I will retreat from the world to make Music For Cars. Please keep informing me. I learn so much from our fans and I value you so much x" Just music from now on. Informed by you. The young. (sic)"

Meanwhile The 1975 frontman, who's band won the BRIT award for Best British Group earlier this year and were nominated for Album of the Year, has admitted winning awards makes him feel uncomfortable because he suffers from impostor syndrome, which is the inability to internalise accomplishments. He said:

"It's an important moment for us because we're a subversive act to have broken through on such a level that the BRITs would want us to perform.

"I'm not from the BRITs world. I shouldn't be and everyone needs to know that. I couldn't get arrested until I was 23. "Actually, I did get arrested when I was 23, but you know what I mean. I suffer massively from impostor syndrome."
