The BRIT Awards 2020 with Mastercard today announces Fred again.. as the youngest ever recipient of the award for BRITs Producer of The Year.

Since cutting his teeth as a teenager working alongside two-time BRIT Producer winner Brian Eno on Eno & Hyde's acclaimed 2014 albums High Life and Someday World, quickly followed by the Ivor Novello nominated Bleeds by Roots Manuva, Fred again.. has gone on to be involved in some of the biggest commercially and critically successful records in recent times.

2019 was an incredible year for the London-based sensation whose productions were at number 1 in the UK singles chart for nearly 30% of the year (fourteen weeks in total). These included Ed Sheeran's collaborations with Khalid ('Beautiful People'), Stormzy ('Take Me Back to London') and the BRIT-nominated track with Justin Bieber 'I Don't Care'. With eight top ten singles and at least one song in the Top Ten for twenty consecutive weeks including George Ezra's four times platinum hit 'Shotgun' and Mist and Fredo's 'So High', Fred again.. was a huge chart presence in 2019. He ended the year as a producer on Stormzy's highly acclaimed number one album Heavy Is The Head and produced the first number one single of the decade with Stormzy's 'Own It'.

Meanwhile Fred again.. continues to work across a variety of genres including recent and forthcoming collaborations with artists as diverse as Stefflon Don, Abra, Octavian, Ella Mai, Romy xx, Charli XCX, Headie One, Skrillex, FKA Twigs, Burna Boy, Chronixx and Mr Eazi.

Some of Fred Again..'s Key Collaborators Say

"I'm always amazed at Fred's ability to dance effortlessly between so many different styles of music, people and situations, with conviction and grace. He's the realest Chameleon I know." - Romy xx

"Fred is the modern Beethoven" - Mist

"Fred is as deep as he is high" - Brian Eno

"Fred is the white Burna Boy" - Burna Boy

The BRIT Award for Producer of the Year has been voted on by a panel of A&R executives drawn from across the recorded music sector, having been previously selected by a judging panel of the Music Producers' Guild and presented as part of their own awards.
