The Janoskians tell Pressparty: 'Girls shouldn't have to worry about eating cake'

The Janoskians' Daniel Sahyounie has opened up about the meaning behind their single 'Real Girls Eat Cake'.

The YouTube pranksters turned music stars released the track earlier this year and it features lines such as:

"You eat like a dude and lick your plate clean/You're my kind of girl and I like it."

Speaking to Pressparty, Sahyounie said that the song is all about making sure women have the confidence to be themselves.

He said: "We just want to tell girls that they should have confidence. They should be eating cake, they don't have to worry about it. Be confident in yourself."

When asked if skinny girls aren't his thing, the prankster replied: "I mean, it doesn't matter. It's all about the personality."

The Australian meanwhile added that he is more keen on the group's comedy video roots than the music.

Speaking about The Janoskians' music influences, he said: "I'm not actually into instruments - I'm not really on the music side. I'm more into the prank side. We started from YouTube doing pranks and we just got offered a music deal."

The Janoskians released their new single 'That's What She Said' today (September 9).
