The Vamps have won MTV's Brand New For 2014 accolade.

Fans have been voting for months to crown the music company's top tip for the coming year ahead.

It was confirmed today (February 3) that The Vamps, who recently released their second single 'Wild Heart', have reigned supreme.

Tristan Evans commented: "We’re very lucky and we feel very humbled and honoured to win such an awesome competition we’ve been growing up with."

Bradley Simpson added: "A big thank you to all our fans who voted for us, you’re all amazing. It’s a bit weird winning it when we’ve all grown up and seen the artists who have won it so thank you very much."

The acts who The Vamps beat included Sam Smith, Ella Eyre and Royal Blood.
