The Vamps' James McVey reveals Ed Sheeran fan tweet

Blonde heartthrob James McVey, of The Vamps fame, has revealed that back in 2011 he sent singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran a link to a clip of himself covering one of his singles.

McVey made the confession earlier today (February 4) when he shared a screenshot of his public tweet to the 'Lego House' superstar, which can be seen below, and accompanied the image with the caption: "This is also pretty odd @edsheeran."

Upon seeing the message, Sheeran took to his social networking page and reached out to the rising star, telling him that he'll check it out now: "@TheVampsJames I did actually have no laptop then. If you send it now il check it out obvz."

Sheeran, meanwhile, posted an adorable tweet this afternoon to tell his fans that he has just finished teaching a class at his old school and that one of his teachers left him a present in the form of his old copy of John Steinbeck's novel, 'Of Mice And Men': "Just taught a music lesson at my old school and my old English teacher left my of mice and men book from year 8. Yes Mr Jellicoe, you legend."
