The Vamps have confirmed plans to tour Australia later this year.

The British quartet, who are releasing their debut album 'Meet The Vamps' on April 14 in the UK, will head down under in June.

The news was confirmed today (March 27), with the band announcing on Twitter:

"It's true! Thanks to all our awesome Aussie fans we're coming to Australia in June. Stay tuned for news #TheVampsToAustralia."

In February it was announced meanwhile that the group's debut single 'Can We Dance' went platinum in Australia.

That means that it has shifted over 70,000 copies in the country.
