The Vamps: ‘We wrote a song with McFly and it'll be on our debut album’

The lads from The Vamps have confessed that they recently sat down with McFly and wrote a song with them, which is going to appear on their upcoming debut record.

Speaking to the Daily Star about not having rivalry with their contemporaries, 5 Seconds Of Summer, the hitmakers explained that they have common ground in both being fans of McFly and went on to talk about their admiration for the band:

"We both have a shared admiration for McFly. They’ve shaped the music of our generation. I know 5 Seconds are massive fans, too. We find ourselves going to the same minor guitar chords like McFly would. So to then to go on tour with McFly and write a song with them, which will be on our album, is amazing."

The Vamps' debut album, which is titled Meet The Vamps, is set to be officially released on April 14. Meanwhile, boyband One Direction have been writing songs with the McFly members for a number of years and Niall Horan explained that he had a great session recently with them:

"Last night I wrote a song with @Dannymcfly @dougiemcfly and @tommcfly, dougie went home, tom got peed on by his son, me and danny had curry. Also I met little buzz fletcher last night! Soo cute! @MrsGiFletcher @tommcfly."
