The Vamps' James McVey: 'There's nowhere I'd rather be than at home'

'Wild Heart' guitarist James McVey, of The Vamps fame, has revealed that his hometown in Dorset is one of his favourite places to be in the world, despite being heavily immersed in a life of international travel with amazing opportunities to visit new areas.

Writing on his official Twitter page this afternoon (April 29), the heartthrob explained that he loves being in the middle of the countryside and can't think of anything better than the great outdoors in the south of England:

"Can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be than summer at home in Dorset. I miss the beach and country."

McVey also posted a message last night about cyber bullying and admitted that he has been the victim of some mindless abuse recently: "You know people are sad when they start hating on my legs and toes... I mean come on, at least have a go at my skin or something."

The Vamps, meanwhile, will go on tour across the UK later this year and their headlining run of dates is due to kick off on September 23 at Sheffield's City Hall. Tickets are available now.

Watch the lads reenact the naked hotel incident they recently opened up about here:
