The Vamps reveal how they deal with ex-girlfriends

'Last Night' heartthrobs The Vamps have spoken to MTV following the premiere of the channel's new show, 'Ex On The Beach', and spoke about how they handle former lovers.

The lads explained that they wouldn't see an old after a split in fear of leading them on. Member James McVey, who plays guitar for The Vamps, explained that it's usually a bad idea to try and be friends with an ex-girlfriend too quickly after the break-up: "It's dangerous then healthy. Automatically, it's like if you're with someone for years you can't go fishing together as friends."

The band's drummer, Tristan Evans, admitted that he would distance himself from an ex because the more you see them the more you keep a sense of hope hanging in the air, and it's cruel to lead someone on like that: "In terms of you don't see them anymore, it'd just be leading them on. You'd feel bad after that."

Earlier this week, Evans also opened up about body confidence and confessed that while McVey probably has the most enviable physique of the group, they're all happy with how they look:

"It's probably more James actually because he has the better body. I will get naked eventually. I think it's a daily occurrence, I think last time, Brad was the one who got pretty naked. We're comfortable with our personalities and bodies and, you know, we just have a good time."
