The Vamps share childhood secrets

'Wild Heart' hitmakers The Vamps, who are currently on tour in America with heartthrob Austin Mahone, recently did an interview with 4 Music, in which they each revealed a funny memory from their childhood.

Bassist Connor Boll explained why his nose isn't as straight as it used to be: "I broke my nose playing football about three years ago and now it's a bit kind of... that way (points in a sideways direction)."

Guitarist James McVey revealed that he set two pets free into the wild when he was younger: "I used to have two stick insects and then I let them free in my garden."

The band's frontman, Brad Simpson, recalled a rather painful story about getting hit in the groin with a football: "I got hit... he was going to hit the ball in football, and he missed the ball and hit me in the knackers when I was about 12!"

Tristan Evans simply added: "Me and my brother used to collect frogspawn."

The lads, meanwhile, have teased that they sat down for a chat with Austin Mahone about a potential future collaboration and member Ball told J-14 that it's very possible: "I don't know, it would be really cool. We might do something. I don't know what we'd do, but we spoke about doing some sort of collaboration."
