The Vamps wants second album to be 'rockier'

The Vamps say they want their next record to be more rock-orientated.

The Brits released their debut album 'Meet The Vamps' earlier this year and it has proved a commercial success.

However, the quartet told Digital Spy that they are keen to take their sound more into the direction of rock in the future.

Speaking about their new single's B-Side 'Hurricane', singer Brad Simpson said:

"It's a lot more live sounding compared to the first one, which is very clean-cut pop. That isn't a bad thing, but as we've had the album out and gigged it, we've realised how much we prefer having it sound rockier and raw. We want to take that sound and put it into the second record a bit more."

Guitarist James McVey meanwhile said in the same interview that they would "love to write with people like Ed Sheeran".

The Vamps will release the Shawn Mendes collaboration 'Oh Cecilia' on October 12 as their next single.
