The Vamps: 'We try to get home as much as we can'

'Wake Up' hitmakers The Vamps will perform live tonight (April 1) at London's O2 Arena, and during a recent tour stop they had a chat with the Nottingham Post about staying grounded in the face of international stardom.

Member James McVey told the newspaper that they're lucky to have such supportive fans because that helps them to feel appreciated and like what they're doing is worthwhile: "We have a loyal fan base, the best fans in the world."

He went onto add that spending as much time at home as possible helps them to not get ahead of themselves and it's important to retain a sense of normalcy:

"We still try to get home as much as we can and we're just friends that like to do normal things. We're regular guys. There's nothing worse than people being condescending and feeling like they're in a higher position. We talk to people and behave like we always have."
