The Vamps have achieved new sales milestone in the UK

'Somebody To You' hitmakers The Vamps have achieved an exciting new certification level in their native UK

The band's debut single 'Can We Dance' has now reached Gold status, according to the British Phonographic Industry, which means that it has sold over 400,000 copies since its release in October 2013.

Earlier this week, the heartthrobs unveiled their new music video for 'I Found A Girl', which features OMI, and it shows the lads auditioning a female version of their band and then performing the song with them on stage.

James McVey explained that the lyrics, which describe falling for a girl who isn't 'into guys', were inspired by a real-life situation that happened to one of the band members: “It’s a concept that happened to one of us but we embellished it and exaggerated it in the song. It was never a relationship where she went off with anyone or anything. One of us started liking someone and then she said, ‘No, I like girls’. It wasn’t great. friend-zoned to the max. It’s just a funny thing and we’re not trying to be controversial.”
