The Vamps' James McVey asks fans to stop sending indecent images

The Vamps star James McVey has issued a plea on Twitter for fans to quit sending "indecent" photos to the group.

The musician took the somewhat unusual step today (December 11) to call out those who have apparently been posting rude photos of themselves to the band on Twitter.

He said: "Really love twitter but these pictures dm's can really get us in serious trouble. Please don't send any of us indecent pictures."

McVey continued: "And it's seriously, it is illegal. We don't want to have to unfollow people sending these :(."

The band's main account then retweeted his posts in an effort to spread the message.

The Vamps meanwhile recently released the video for their new single 'Wild Heart'.

The track is due to be officially unleashed on January 20 and it is set to feature on their forthcoming debut album.
