Sami Brookes is voted off The X Factor

Sami Brookes is the sixth act to be sent home from The X Factor. Brookes and Kitty Brucknell, both in Louis Walsh's category, were the last two standing and had to sing once more for the judges.

31-year-old Brookes sang Aretha Franklin's legendary song, '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman' and Brucknell, who is 26 years old, fought her emotions as she sang Lady Gaga's 'The Edge Of Glory'.

However, the barmaid from Wales lost out on three votes to one from the judges, with only Tulisa Contostavlos voting for her. Gary Barlow referred to her as "dated" to which she said she would sing for the rest of her life.

Our guest performers came in the shape of Professor GreenBruno Mars and Kelly Clarkson.

Clarkson performed her new single, 'Mr. Know-It-All', with an entourage of drummers and Professor Green took to the stage with the fabulous Emeli Sandé to perform their song, 'Read All About It'. While the biggest-selling male singer at the moment performed his song, 'Runaway Baby'.

Marcus Collins, Misha B, Johnny Robinson, Rhythmix, Janet Devlin, Craig Colton, Sophie Habibis, Frankie Cocozza and The Risk will be returning to perform in next week's live show.
