Last night's X Factor saw flamboyant contestant Kitty Brucknell voted out, but the singer has been given some A-List advice by pop icon Lady Gaga. 

The 'Born This Way' superstar was the musical guest on yesterday evening's show, November 13, and ran on stage during The Xtra Factor to console hearbroken Brucknell with a hug before taking her away to tell her to continue pursuing a career in music and even to tour. She explained:

"I got a lot of good advice and I'm going to follow through with it, work really, really hard and never stop. It was just brilliant. Unbelievably inspirational. I want to take rock music, fuse it with pop and make it really big and gay."

Following The X Factor's broadcast, 27-year-old Brucknell tweeted a message to Gaga that read: "Thank you for being such an inspiration to me and for giving me the strength to believe in myself."
