Little Mix win The X Factor

Girl group Little Mix have tonight (December 11) been crowned the winners of 2011's X Factor

The stars have had their ups and downs throughout the competition, the most notable controversy came from the name change as their original moniker was identical to that of a UK charity, but they have now come out on top beating talented vocalist Marcus Collins.

Jesy Nelson (20), Perrie Edwards (18), Leigh-Anne Pinnock (19) and Jade Thirlwall (18) took to the stage following the exciting announcement and performed a stunning rendition of the official winning contestants' single, which was revealed as Damien Rice's ballad, 'Cannonball'.
