Tinie Tempah turned down Russell Brand's political request

'Pass Out' star Tinie Tempah has revealed that Russell Brand asked him to work on a protest song for the 2015 general election, but he turned the request down

Speaking to Q magazine about the offer, Tinie explained that he felt unsure about getting involved so instead just referred Brand to some producers who could help out and hopes there's no bad blood between them:

"Around the time of the elections he asked me to help put a track together, get a few people like Paloma Faith involved as a sort of protest song. I wasn't sure if it was what I should be doing but I hooked him up with some producers. It never happened in the end but I hope there's no bad feelings."

As previously reported, Tinie also spoke to Q about the progress he's making on his new album: "I'm getting back into not overthinking things. Last time I went all muso and locked myself away from the world. This time, people come through every other day. I'm in my element. There's a song called 'Bounce' which is my favourite. It's produced by SHIFT K3Y and it's just me flexing."
