Tinie Tempah to receive music award

UK rapper and double BRIT award winner Tinie Tempah will be receiving another prestigious prize this summer to add to his growing collection. 

The 'Frisky' hit maker has been named as the lucky recipient of the TAG: Design & Interactive Best Newcomer Award by the Nordoff-Robbins foundation. It is an organization that promotes and celebrates the power of music as a form of therapy, and the mission statement on its site explains:

"The power of music – with all its emotion, energy, resonance and rhythm – reaches people whose lives are constrained by illness, disability, trauma or exclusion."

Tinie will be given the gong at the official O2 Silver Clef ceremony, which is set to take place on July 1 in London and previous winners of the title have included JLS, Muse and Slash. Watch his performance of 'Written In The Stars' live from last night's Teenage Cancer Trust showcase here:
