Royal family boosts Tinie Tempah's credibility

'Pass Out' superstar Tinie Tempah loves the fact that members of the royal family are familiar with his music because it gives him "a whole different level of credibility". 

The rapper explained to the Evening Standard magazine that it was great when Prince William and his wife, Catherine Middleton, watched his set at a festival back in 2010 and their support only helped to better his reputation:

"I thought that would increase my credibility. What people don't understand is, there's different levels of cred. There's street cred - the guys on the estate think you're cool."

"That's (royal fans) a whole different level of credibility. For Obama to say he listens to Jay-Z, that's a whole other tier... It's cool that the Royal Family are like that, they're very real - based on what we see anyway."
