Tinie Tempah: 'I don't have a musical comfort zone'

UK rapper Tinie Tempah has revealed that where collaborations are concerned, he doesn't have any limits because it seems to be that the more unusual they are the better they're received by fans.

Speaking to Gigwise about teaming up with other artists from outside of his genre, the 'Written In The Stars' hitmaker explained that it's important to push boundaries and to experiment as an artist:

"I don't necessarily have a comfort zone musically. I just feel like when you collaborate with somebody, especially in this day and age where music is so fickle and people always want to hear new things, I think the more and more creative and the more far-fetched you can make your collaboration the better."

"Even when I did the tune with Swedish House Mafia, I knew people were confused but it turned out to be a really really big thing for both of us and it's a song that's lasted for a very long time."

He went on to add that after hearing Arctic Monkeys' new album he would love to team up with them: "When it comes to collaborations, there are no boundaries basically. Arctic Monkeys, especially after their last record, I'd love to work with them."

Tinie's forthcoming new album, entitled 'Demonstration', will be available from November 4.
