Tom Odell narrowly beating Rick Astley at top of UK albums chart

Tom Odell's 'Wrong Crowd' is sitting pretty at No.1 on the UK albums chart's midweek update.

However, Rick Astley's '50' is only around 220 copies behind at No.2.

Official Charts Company's midweek update revealed today (June 13) that Odell could land his second UK No.1 album come Friday (June 17).

At No.3 on the update meanwhile is Paul McCartney's retrospective 'Pure McCartney', while ELO's 'All Over The World' is up a staggering 131 places to No.4 ahead of the band's Glastonbury slot later this month.

Rounding off the top five is Rival Sons' new entry 'Hollow Bones'.

Garbage's sixth album 'Strange Little Birds' debuts at No.10, while Kaleo's 'A/B' is new at No.14.

Motorhead's live album 'Clean Your Clock' is a new entry at No.18, which collates some of the band's final performances.
