Joan As Police Woman returns to the UK in August for a performance at The South Bank Centre's MELTDOWN festival. This year it is curated by ANTONY, a friend and collaborator of Joan Wasser's for over 10 years. Joan was a member of Antony and The Johnsons around the recording of the Mercury Prize-winning 'I Am A Bird Now' and Antony sang a duet with Joan on 'I Defy' from her debut album 'Real Life'.

Joan is currently on tour of mainland Europe as Special Guest to LOU REED then PATTI SMITH before some full band shows in July. Her Meltdown appearance is preceded by an intimate solo show at The Trades Club in Hebden Bridge on Aug 1
