Mariah Carey to donate song proceeds
Mariah Carey has said she is going to use the proceeds from her new single, ‘Save The Day,’ to raise money for human rights issues.
The pregnant diva has revealed she felt “naïve” and “embarrassed” after being paid $1 million to perform for the son of Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi in 2006.
"Going forward, this is a lesson for all artists to learn from,” she said in a statement. “We need to be more aware and take more responsibility regardless of who books our shows. Ultimately we as artists are to be held accountable.”
