Phil Collins quits music
A disillusioned Phil Collins has revealed that he is quitting the music business.
The Genesis drummer tells ‘FHM’ that his career has left him with serious medical problems, including hearing loss and a dislocated vertebra.
“I’m sorry that it was all so successful. I honestly didn’t mean it to happen like that,” he said. “It’s hardly surprising people grew to hate me."
Collins, who lives in Switzerland, has had 13 hit singles and even won an Academy Award in 1999 for Best Original Song from the Disney movie, ‘Tarzan.’
“I don't really belong to that world and I don't think anyone's going to miss me. I'm much happier just to write myself out of the script entirely,” he adds.
