Jennifer Hudson has opened up to ‘20/20’ about the 2008 murders of her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew.

“God. Because, no matter what, he is always there. He is my joy,” she says of her coping mechanism since the tragedy.

The Oscar winner also discussed her recent weightloss, which saw her drop 80 lbs and five dress sizes thanks to Weight Watchers.

“I almost can't step out my door without being photographed. It is taking a while to get adjusted to,” she admits.

Hudson’s new album, ‘I Remember Me,’ is out this week.
