Prince announced via a phonecall to a TV show on Thursday night that he will be playing a 21-night residency in Los Angeles.

“I will be starting a 21-night stand next Thursday the 14th at the LA Forum with the New Power Generation and a whole gang of special guests," he told George Lopez. “I'm gonna blast the roof off that place, I promise!"

A rep for the ‘Purple Rain’ singer later told ‘The Los Angeles Times’ that not all dates will be at the Forum and that further details will be announced soon.
