Adele has revealed that during a brief meeting with Beyoncé the ‘Video Phone’ singer compared her to God.

“I was about to meet Beyoncé and I had a full blown anxiety attack,” she says in the latest issue of ‘Rolling Stone.’ “Then [she] popped in looking gorgeous and said, ‘You’re amazing! When I listen to you I feel like I’m listening to God.”

Adele goes on to admit that this meeting inspired her to create a stage persona to help her combat performance anxiety.

"That's when Sasha Carter was born,” she adds.
