Black Eyed Peas launch music academy

The Black Eyed Peas are opening an academy in New York that will allow teenagers to get a headstart on a music industry career.

With the help of the Adobe Foundation, the Peapod Foundation is launching the Peapod Adobe Youth Voices academy in lower Manhattan, the fourth such school they’ve opened in America.

"Our passion for music and media was fueled by many generous people on our road to success," says will.i.am. “Expanding the network of Peapod Adobe Youth Voices academies enables us to pay it forward, giving more youth the skills and encouragement they need to realise their dreams."

The school will start taking students from July of this year.
