Chris Martin and Bruce Springsteen replace injured Bono at U2 concert

Chris Martin and Bruce Springsteen stepped in to front U2 at a charity concert on Monday (December 1).

The Irish rockers were scheduled to perform for the (RED) campaign on World AIDS Day at New York's Times Square.

With Bono recently injuring his arm in a cycling accident and unable to attend, the group had to call upon some famous faces for help.

Coldplay's Chris Martin fronted U2 for the songs 'Beautiful Day' and 'With Or Without You'.

Springsteen meanwhile sang 'Where the Streets Have No Name' and 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For'.

Kanye West and Carrie Underwood also performed sets at the event.
