U2 guitarist The Edge has been filmed falling off the edge of a stage.

The band performed in Vancouver, Canada last night (May 14) to open their new world tour.

However, The Edge suffered an embarrassing mishap as he ironically fell over the edge of the stage's catwalk.

He was caught on tape looking ahead before stumbling onto the floor.

U2 made fun of the incident on Instagram post-gig as the axe-man showed off his injured arm.

The band added: "'Didn't see the edge, I'm ok!!'."
