U2 have announced a number of summer tour dates in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the band's album 'The Joshua Tree'.

The group will visit Europe and North America, with shows lined up at London's Twickenham Stadium and Dublin's Croke Park.

Mumford & Sons will open at shows in Vancouver, Seattle and Santa Clara, while The Lumineers will perform at dates between May 20 to June 7 and June 18 to 28 .

OneRepublic will open for U2 on June 11, 14 and July 1 and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will take to the stage on the European leg. Tickets for European shows will go on sale from 9am on January 16, while tickets for the US and Canada will be available a day later.
