Houston, TX - Reverse, Reverse! Houston's homegrown gospel superstar, Yolanda Adams, will execute a full circle-back February 9th when she performs at the Southeast Inspirational Choir 50th Reunion Celebration at Silver lake Church in Pearland, Texas at 5 pm. The Red Carpet opens at 4:15 pm.

Adams' stellar rendition of “America the Beautiful” was the genesis of Sunday's Super Bowl LIV, setting the stage for the all-star female cast of veteran performers to continue the wow.

The day before, Yolanda joined Sunday Best winner and Gospel singer, Le’Andria Johnson for their first-ever duet to sing a Yolanda classic, “The Battle Is The Lords” at the 21st Super Bowl Gospel Celebration just one week after the 2020 Grammy Awards where she was nominated for her duet with Gloria Gaynor, “Talkin’ About Jesus” for Best Gospel Performance/Song.

It was as a lead singer of H-Town's legendary Southeast Inspirational Choir, that Adams first captured the hearts of worshippers nationwide with her anointed & enduring vocal performances.

This Sunday, International Recording artist and world-renowned choir “Southeast”, as they are fondly called, will sing some of their most requested songs including “Inspire Me” led by Rise Joiner-Peters, “Full Joy” led by Angela Bennett, breakout hit “My Liberty”, originally and once again led by highly decorated Yolanda Adams and more.

The Grammy artist's origins, along with fellow Houstonian 2020 Grammy nominee, Gene Moore Jr. who will also be returning for the highly anticipated 50th celebration can be traced to Southeast & gospel pioneers Shirley Joiner and Carl Preacher who wrote and styled songs that were often referred to as “ahead of their time” to influence Christian music worldwide.

The Celebration will also include a special musical tribute to founders Brenda Waters, Carl Preacher and Shirley Joiner of the famed BC&S by former Southeast choir member Yolanda Adams, Donald Lawrence, Kathy Taylor, The Walls Group, and Motown’s Gene Moore. Special Guest vocalists like Kim Burrell will accompany the Choir musical at the Celebration.

For media inquiries and more information contact Southeast at 2dep@2dep.com or call Rise Joiner-Peters 832.512.1208.
