ADAM FRENCH DEBUTS BRAND NEW TRACK ‘EUTHANASIA’

"Figuring out the difference between life and existence has always been a massive contributor to the way I write music.” Says, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Adam French. “My favourite lyrics are honest and personal!”

‘Euthanasia’ is a perfect example of both this lyrical ambition and his deft touch with melody. Based around atmospheric guitars and a rolling breakbeat, the song deals with the universal experience of searching for meaning in life and death. The songs defiant chorus bearing the hall marks of songwriters such as Justin ‘Bon Iver’ Vernon and Jose Gonzalez. ‘Euthanasia’ is the first release taken from Adam’s upcoming EP, ‘Face to Face’, released in mid-April.

French taught himself to play guitar at the age of 10 and was born and raised in Congleton, just outside Manchester where he worked in the local record store and cut his teeth on the northern gig circuit in various guises. Now French has established himself as a solo writer and producer capable of crafting flawless songs in the studio.

His last release, double A-Side ‘Hunter/Punchbag love’, earned a slot on the coveted Radio X Great X-pectations list, previous selectees have included BRIT Award winners James Bay, Royal Blood, Catfish & The Bottlemen, and it also awakened a legion of new fans to his emotive, cinematic sound.

Having already gone down a storm playing the BBC Introducing stage at Leeds and Reading festivals, as well as recent support slots with Frances, Rat Boy and Jack Garratt, and a sold out London show earlier this year, Adam will be playing his debut US headline shows in New York and L.A and headlining Communion’s upcoming April New Faces UK tour.
