Outta nowhere, from the humid streets of MARACAIBO, VENEZUELA via LONDON’S gritty underground comes THE DICE, aka BEETROOT RECORDS head honcho Alfonso Araujo

The Dice is a dark, quirky collaboration project that brings together some of the brightest up and coming artists in the urban-electronica field such as EMCEE KILLA from CAXTON PRESS, (London’s buzzing HIp-Hop collective who recently supported PUBLIC ENEMY) and TIDDLES ( top female rapper from London’s punk underbelly). The Dice mixes electronic analog sounds with raw guitars and instruments like violins, and theremins. THE DICE also rotates vocalists with many differing styles like mcs, punk heads, house singers, and soul. The music is deep, dark and quirky, with synths and dirty blues guitars underpinned by electronic beats and phat basslines. In short interestingly different.

This is the second E.P. from THE DICE featuring two tracks – ANGRY VOICE and FLASH. Both tracks explore the freshest mix-up of Urban beats, sleazy grime bass lines, and phat hip-hop rhythms.

The remix of ANGRY VOICE comes from underground Acid Techno kingpins CHRIS LIBERATOR & STERLING MOSS, and fuses the edgy beats, flowing raps and needle sharp synths into an up tempo dance floor powerhouse.FLASH is remixed by new boy GEEZER, who creates some pumping, rolling big room gold.

This is a taster for the forthcoming DICE album, an eclectic ensemble somewhere between the cutting edge blues ofMASSIVE ATTACK & PORTISHEAD, contemporary Hip-Hop and sleazy Rock n Roll, created with haunting electronic sounds, raw beats, dirty guitars, violins and some of the most interesting vocalists around, all put together by the extremely talented DICE MAN himself. We think the album’s something really special, but in the meantime, get your teeth into the ANGRY VOICE EP..
