** SOARING R&B BASED POP MUSIC FROM NEW ARTIST GRACE KIM **

Grace Kim is an R&B singer-songwriter from South Korea. She and her 4-piece-band are based in Liverpool and experimenting with musical fusion in the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Grace Kim has a varied musical background as a gospel singer and a classical music composer, Grace Kim’s music is also a fusion of classical, jazz, rock and soul upon R&B foundation. Inspired by Kate Bush, the overall melodic and lyrical theme ‘sorrow’ gets expressed via highly crafted composition with an endless range of vocal ability.

At the age of 12, Grace Kim started to write her own songs and was trained by one of the best university’s for classical music in South Korea. Before coming to the UK she was mainly performing in Seoul and also in many different cities in South Korea at festival-size gigs. In 2011, Grace Kim received the Weekly Popularity Award via MBC radio, the biggest broadcasting centre in Korea and featured in several TV programs via KBS. After her short singer-songwriter period, she started her career as a gospel singer in 2013 by winning the Gold prize at the Korea Gospel Singer Competition. She has also been composing as a musical director for some independent films, including ‘A Walk’(2013) and ‘Missing’(2012). She was featured in the 2ube Live stream in the UK in March 2016. It was spread over the UK via Bay TV(Merseyside), Latest TV(Brighton) and NVTV(Belfast).

Grace Kim began playing with her band in 2015, and producer Simon Britton acclaimed “I can’t believe a girl from South Korea just sang like that.”. Grace Kim has been performing at local venues in Liverpool as a solo artist, and this summer 2016, she has a small tour  around the UK with her master band. In  late August, her new single ‘No One’ will be released with remixes from some of the emerging talented producers in Liverpool.
