Warner Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group (WMG), has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with the hugely popular Mandarin pop star A-Lin.

Born in Taiwan, A-Lin, rose to fame in 2006 after achieving rapid commercial success from her debut album Lovelorn, Not Guilty. She affectionately earned the nickname ‘a born diva’ and received widespread acclaim for her incredible voice, extremely wide vocal range and her song writing ability.

A-Lin has since wrote and recorded eight albums and one EP as well as releasing four compilations. She has been a regular fixture at the Golden Melody Awards since her debut, having been nominated three times for Best Female Singer and once for Best New Artist. In 2010 she picked up the Most Popular Mandarin Song trophy at the Jade Solid Gold Song Awards for her track ‘Before, After’. Last year, her song ‘A Kind of Sorrow’ was nominated for Best Original Film Song at the Golden Horse Film Awards. The video for the single has been viewed more than 64 million times on YouTube and has remained on the top 100 chart on the streaming platform KKBOX for over a year.

A-Lin is known for her enchanting live shows and has previously attracted hundreds of thousands of fans to shows in places such as Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Her next tour, which kicks off in February, is expected to be seen by more than one million fans.
