Warner Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Swedish DJ and producer Alesso.

Alesso has worked with the likes of Calvin Harris, Florida Georgia Line, Marshmello and Ryan Tedder. He co-wrote and produced the worldwide smash ‘Anywhere’ by Rita Ora, which landed in the Top 10 in 15 countries and charted at number two in the UK. He’s enjoyed another global hit with Marshmello and Demi Lovato’s ‘Ok Not To Be Ok’, which racked up more than 60 million streams. In 2014, Alesso earned a Grammy nomination for his remix of OneRepublic’s ‘If I Lose Myself’.

His latest single, ‘THE END’, is his first to be published by Warner Chappell, and is a collaboration with US singer-songwriter Charlotte Lawrence.

Alesso said: "I'm very excited to be joining the Warner Chappell family and looking forward to working on tons of new music in the coming months.”

Arvid Frisk, Head Of A&R, Warner Chappell Scandinavia, added: "We are thrilled to have Alesso in the family, he’s one of a kind and looking forward breaking boundaries with him and the Shalizi team."

Alesso is the stage name of Stockholm-born Alessandro Renato Rodolfo Lindblad. Alesso began to gain recognition after his first release, Alesso EP, which caught the attention of Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia, who offered to help him with his productions and DJing and has since gone on to act as a mentor.

In 2012, Alesso recorded a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and he was named in MTV’s ‘EDM Rookies To Watch’ list. Later that year he went on to play in front of a 60,000 strong crowd at Creamfields and support Madonna on her MDNA World Tour. By the end of the year, he was ranked at number 20 in DJ Magazine’s ‘Top 100 DJs of 2012’.

In 2014, Alesso signed to Def Jam Recordings, becoming only the second EDM artist to sign to the label. A year later, he released his debut album, Forever, which featured artists such as Calvin Harris, Hurts and Tove Lo. The record charted at number four in Sweden.

Alesso has gone on to work on tracks such as ‘Let Me Go’ by Hailee Steinfield, which is platinum in the US; ‘Is That For Me’ by Brazilian superstar Anitta; ‘Midnight’ by Liam Payne; and ‘This Summer’ by Maroon 5.
