Will.i.am has unveiled his new eyewear range.

The musician has teamed up with Australian designer George Gorrow to create ill.i Optics.

The range features glasses and sunglasses and the US star said in a statement:

"I see a gap in the world of eyewear and this is my instalment of what I feel is missing. I want this to be an honest brand - it's about dedication and passion."

Will.i.am has channelled the likes of 1980s hip-hop and oversized pieces for the collection.

Glasses will start at a price of £170 ($275) and sunglasses will cost from £180 ($291).

The range will have pieces for both men and women.
