Will.i.Am: 'Rita Ora is just what 'The Voice' needed - she's raw and sexy'

Hitmaker and 'The Voice' coach Will.i.Am has revealed that he's so excited that Rita Ora joined the panel because she embodies everything that the programme needed.

Speaking to Britain's Hello! magazine, the superstar explained that Ora's addition to the panel has put the spark back into the show that it was initially lacking: "Rita's just what the show had been missing - the pizzazz, sexiness, sweetness and someone who's raw. We really needed that."

When asked if former panelists Jessie J and Kylie Minogue had any of these qualities, he added: "It's really difficult, but yes. They each had a bit of both. Jessie was edgy and raw and sweet, but you only saw the edginess. And Kylie is sweet and kind. Rita is all of that."

Will.i.Am went onto add that he has a dream panel line-up that includes Madonna and would love to see that happen: "What should really happen is The Voice should be me, Pharrell Williams, Madonna and [singer-songwriters and producers] Ester Dean and Dr. Luke. That would be a sick show because Madonna has a label, I have a label - we'd all be fighting over who's going to sign who to which label. That should be the show."
