Will.i.Am on dealing with negativity: 'Music is my therapy'

Hitmaker Will.i.Am has enjoyed an incredible career to date and revealed that music is the one thing he can count on to make him feel uplifted and inspired at all times.

When asked by Britain's Hello! magazine how he combats negative feelings, the star confessed that he always turns to music: "That's a good question. If I'm stressed, depressed or frustrated, I usually write songs about it. My therapy is composing or cracking jokes."

The 'Boom Boom Pow' sensation went onto admit that he finds it hard to switch off and always wants to be working, because he doesn't see creating as a chore: "Friends talked me into taking a vacation. I got there and I was like, 'What are we doing?' They said, 'We're doing it.' But it was boring. I was like, 'We get paid to do things - why are we paying to do nothing?' I'd rather have fun and do things we love and get paid for it. This is a constant vacay - that's awesome."
