Will.i.am has backed pop stars Britney Spears and Cheryl to collaborate in the future.

The Black Eyed Peas man told The Sun that he reckons the current X Factor USA judge Spears would work well with Girls Aloud star Cheryl. He said:

"Britney would be great with Cheryl. When I'm recording with Britney I've four songs of Cheryl sitting there."

It's not the only Cheryl related collaboration on will.i.am's mind however. The Voice UK coach also mentioned her name to global superstar Rihanna - and he believes a duet could happen in the future. He said:

"I told Rihanna there was this girl called Cheryl Cole and she is the pop princess of England. I was telling people in America they should collaborate. Hopefully it will happen soon."
