Will.i.Am in car accident with Cheryl Cole: 'We're OK, just a little whiplash'

Music mogul Will.i.Am has reassured his Twitter followers that he is safe and well following a "car accident" that took place on the way back from a studio session.

Writing on the social networking site tonight (August 29), he explained that songstress and friend Cheryl Cole was also in the vehicle with him, but they're both recovering from only minor injuries and are "fine":

"Car accidents are not dope...I'm glad I'm o.k #wiplash. we're fine...thank you...@CherylCole were coming back from the studio...but she and I are fine...just a little #wiplash"

Earlier today, he also spoke about the person who recently stole his car and then threatened to leak previously unheard material and tweeted: "I have to let people know they are watching unfinished not approved leaks that were stolen from me...& they will be found"

"please stop promoting this leak. please stop tweeting this link. dont give the guys who stole my car & files power #stopthem. why would I put out unfinished songs and ask people not to promote them and constantly take them down from youtube???"
